Resolution Spotlight: Compensation for Supervision

American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) delegate and MAFP past president Julie Anderson, MD, authored a resolution in 2018 that was focused on the uncompensated time that physicians spend supervising nurse practitioners and physician assistants. This resolution was taken forward by the Minnesota delegation to the AAFP Congress of Delegates. It was debated and passed.

Subsequently, the AAFP adopted a policy that identifies the value of integrated, team-based care led by physicians and advises that physicians should be compensated for that coordination. View the policy.

Do you have an idea for a resolution for our 2020 House of Delegates? It’s never too early to get started!
